St.
Louis, Missouri (February, 2003)— Emerson has been recognized as one of the Top 50 global firms
in Fortune magazine's recent survey of the "World's Most
Admired" companies. Consistently one of "America's Most

companies around the world and across all industries.
Fortune notes that Emerson was selected for the All-Star list
by "...delivering solid products - and financial results."
This year's global survey polled 10,000 directors, executives, and

Respondents also rated the companies within their own
industries across nine categories: social responsibility; innovation;
long-term investment value; use of corporate assets; employee talent;
financial soundness; quality of management; quality of
products/services; and global business acumen. In the global
Electronics category, Emerson placed third, behind GE and Sony, while
